underage me 1/10/06 . chapter 1i like super love this story, it sounds so good, and interesting, ive read several novels and a bunch of regency ficcys, by far yours is currently the best, have you read 'Petals' by Danielle Night... ciao. |
Isa Koliki 1/2/06 . chapter 14Hm, so Mina has competition. Meaning there are two baddies with their eyes on the couple. Well, hopefully soon there'll be some action and we'll get to say sword-wielding Mina. Update soon! Isa Koliki |
Isa Koliki 1/2/06 . chapter 13Hah, Draco Malfoy as a lord of the gentry... interesting. Mina seemed different in this chapter, with Sophia. More sophisticated, that kind of thing- it just seemed a bit OOC. On to the next chapter! Isa Koliki |
Isa Koliki 1/2/06 . chapter 11Hah, yes, the Phantom of the Opera theme suited that last paragraph. I reckon Loki's going to be that dude- what's his name?- the one who broke into her room and tried to "ravish" her. Oh, and as to one of your reviewer's replies: I haven't heard any English people say "gel" in the last, ooh, one hundred years. _ Isa Koliki |
Isa Koliki 1/2/06 . chapter 10You're right, romantic Mina really is scary. But since when is "slightly psat eleven in the morning" not oversleeping? Lazy Rafe. Isa Koliki |
Isa Koliki 1/2/06 . chapter 9But of course, who else was the falcon going to be? I thought the chapter without either of the main characters was useful, it gives a bit of a break from the romantic plot. Next chapter! Isa Koliki |
Isa Koliki 1/2/06 . chapter 8Becoming friends, hey? Well, obviously Rafe's not going to settle down with just friends. I wonder what his next step will be? I didn't think he seemed too wimpish, but even if he did, remember that every character needs flaws. It'll get annoying if he's constantly perfect. Isa Koliki |
Isa Koliki 1/2/06 . chapter 7As you say, just a connecting chapter, but still well-written. I'm trying to work out what attracts all the flamers to your story, by the way; it just doesn't make sense. It's well-written- occasionally cliche, but there are few stories on this website that aren't, and I've read far worse stories with no criticism whatsoever. Perhaps because you have a lot of reviews, some people read it delibaretly to find things wrong with it and forget their manners in the process. Sorry, that wasn't really a review, just a rant. On to chapter 8! Isa Koliki |
Isa Koliki 1/2/06 . chapter 6Hah, I knew that was going to happen. How's Mina going to get herself out of this one, I wonder? Oh, and my money's on that Sophie and William get together. It's bound to happen. This chapter was longer, too, so lets hope the next one's the same. Isa Koliki |
Sweet Sarcasm 1/1/06 . chapter 8tHIS story is BLOODY BRILLANT!I just had to say that. I lovethat phrase. Neways dont listen to the flamers! they're mad!THis is a very good story! And its the one of the only humors that is truly "humor" its acually funny!AND this isnt cliche. Its very job! update! |
Isa Koliki 1/1/06 . chapter 5Oh, I liked the kiss scene, I thought you wrote it very well. *pats on back* Still waiting for that description of Rafe, though. Isa Koliki |
Isa Koliki 1/1/06 . chapter 4This chapter produced a bit more of a plot line, but Mina's starting to... irritate me. I don't know why. I love Rafe, though. First kiss? Ooh! *scurries off to next chapter* Isa Koliki |
Isa Koliki 1/1/06 . chapter 3I loved the conversation, but where was the description of Rafe? I wanted to find out what he looked like, I imagined him to be good-looking. _ Perhaps one in the next chapter. *goes ahead* |
Isa Koliki 1/1/06 . chapter 2Intriguing indeed, and no, I don't think Mina's captor is going to be a run-of-the-mill villain. I liked Mary's accent, a very accurate Cockney accent. Just one thing, I know you want to emphasise certain sentences and words, but the capitals are off-putting. Italic's would do just as well, I think. Onto the next chapter! |
Isa Koliki 1/1/06 . chapter 1A well-written prologue, I'm looking forward to reading the story already. "Anything would be better than this. Anything. Even getting caught by the French." Well, that was just a brilliant line. I can sympathise with that, being English myself. XD Isa Koliki |
