Oh, wow, I just love this. I really do. Especially the last stanza. Why didn't you tell me you'd updated it? You know, it kind of reminds me of the essay I had to write Freshman year about whether God was teacher, friend, or parent. I, of course, chose to prove that the answer was both none of the above and all of the above...But anyway, I love it! Love it, love it, love it.And am very, very honored to be mentioned.

I love this poem because I have been feeling the same way lately, and I feel that you have put it in very nice words.

A very nice, intelligent, contradiction of thought. :) If you wanted, you cuuld work this into a haiku- I think it would work very well as one. It's lovely as this, too.
