Wow. I just loved this story. I loved all the melodrama. It was definately not too much. Its too depressing to read happy endings all the time. I take it that you are not writing anymore since i just noticed that this was last updated in 2005 and you are, I take it, married and have a job now. I doubt you are even reading reviews anymore. But, I loved it, for what its worth.

Although I wish Illkitt could've had a happy ending, this wasn't a happy story, and the ending you chose is absoultely perfect and/or brilliant.

Chapter 3 - no further - this is it.

BTW I just wanna say that those things do happen .My sister got raped by my step grandpa. So the first chapter those thigs actually happen. So don't say it doesn't. Good job it made me cry. I am a guy! A straight guy too. My sister is not a ** or w/e that guy was she is completly normal because of psychiatrists.

-gathers up breath, screams- HE'S MINE NOW!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! YOU PEOPLE CAN'T HAVE HIM, MINE MINE MINE!

-cough- Okay, now that I'm dome with that. -cries- Even knowing the outcome beforehand, that was still incredibly heartwrenching to read. You had me biting my nails, seriously.

I love you, wife! Mwa! Now start on the new part -gets out whip-

*Snickers* I had totally forgotten that you told me Illkit's end until I read the car part. Then I thought, "Oh yea..." lol Poor Illkit, becoming normal just never happens. I started college btw... (My art teacher has squirells under the driver's seat in his car. O.o) Good ending to CTB. ^__^

That was the best ending EVER.

Okay, when I started reading Rubbing Skin Raw, I didn't actually get past the first chapter at my first attempt. I was completely convinced that it was going to be one of those "She's All That" boy-meets-loser-and-falls-in-wuv stories that Fictionpress is full of. I came back to it awhile later, though, because I kept coming across it and having this story I hadn't read was really irritating me.

Needless to say, the ending surprised the hell out of me.

Then I read Razor Bones Shredding, kind of hoping for a happy ending that time, but no dice. So now I'm thinking okay, I'm on to this girl. I'm sensing a theme of misery. I've got you now!

I wandered my way through Bleeding Hearts Cauterised (Which is my favorite title, I think) and was a little startled by the lack of hopeless misfortune, but hey, there was Illkitt the heroin addict. You can't have hopeless misfortune without a heroin addict, right? So I went into Caustic Touch Burning kind of knowing that you were going to torture the hell out of this boy, but kind of HOPING that he'd get off a little easier, because you had these other stories popping up that didn't involve anyone jumping off schoolhouses.

Of course, as the story progressed, it became increasingly more obvious that Illkitt was pretty much screwed. Okay, fine, I can come to terms with that. The boy will overdose. No shock when that happens!

Then, today, I click my way through to your profile to see how everything is progressing, and Caustic Touch Burning is updated. What? How can this be? Generally things stop moving when the protagonist dies. I better see what this is about. Click click, goes the mouse, and we're off to chapter 14.

Again, WHAT? He's alive! That's insanity! I'm filled with kind of a wary optimism--wary, because I know you just can't resist catching your helpless readers off-guard with something totally bizarre. But then, maybe bringing him back to life and cleaning him up IS your totally bizarre surprise! I can definitely say I didn't see it coming. Maybe he's turning over a new leaf. Maybe... nah.

Because then. He gets hit. By a truck.

By a truck.

That is BEAUTIFUL.
