Okay first things first- I love this story! You really should update! It would be a waste not to finish such a wonderful story :( please oh please oh please!

Your story is excellent and your writing style draws the reader in.

I didn't like Winborne at first, but this last two chapters have effectively shown a different side of him. Now it seems plausible that Cassandra will fall in love with him.

But will he love her enough to stay faithful?

I hope that you will pick this story up again soon.

I love this line, "insipid china-faced dolls." I feel the same way, too. Whenever I read a story that describes herself and this is she, I quickly shut the book and ignore it, or in terms of FicitonPress, I quickly skip the story.

well...all I can say is I wish there was more. your style is cute, and I love how descriptive your writing is. your characters have depth and are fluid and interesting, never leaving what you'd expect of their personalities. I'm ridiculously happy that you're continuing! This was so well written that it would have been a shame if you just stopped.

However, the fact that it's been a while since you last wrote is quite obvious in your style. The bantering is no longer Heyer-esque but more along the lines of...well, Julia Quinn comes to mind but not quite..., but what I mean is that there's a more current-popular-historical-romance-authors' flavor. Have you been reading Qunn, Enoch, Hern, etc.? Your previous chapter was the best example of sustained smooth wit that I've read outside of Heyer and this new chapter is quite jarring coming right after it.

I understand that after two years, your writing style is going to have changed. However, I recommend you go on a Heyer binge to get back into that mindset.

I hope this review hasn't been too disheartening. You're still an awesome writer and I'll be following this story till the end!
