lol! Yay for great, big metaphors. I thought this was really beautiful. I really like your use of line breaks and layout. It really effects the way I read it and added a lot of atmosphere. Plus, it uses a tiger as a metaphor. Tee hee hee! lol. You can't go wrong with tigers. Not ever.
