UU Bush won because he got more electoral votes than John Kerry. How hard is it to understand that?

Dead on, Jay, dead on. The news media can spin this election all they want, but the truth is still the truth, and the Democrats overwhelming lost this year. No matter how many homeless people they could coax into voting, or GOP Voter Vans tires they could slash, the democrats lost overwhelmingly and on all fronts. This is the beginning of the Republican era of control over the government.

The only reason any politician wins an election, be he/she a Democrat or Republican or whatever, is due to good marketing. The Republicans simply do a better job of marketing themselves to voteres than the Democrats. "Moral values" has nothing to do with it--elections are basically popularity contests and we tend to like people (and vote for people) who share our attitudes.

Nice essay. I agree with you on alot of points. But what's done is done and we can't change what has happened. Everyone knows hwy Kerry lost. Statistically, Kerry would've destroyed Bush if the Evangelical Christians across the nation hadn't voted for Bush. But they did and therefore,we've got 4 more years..sadly. Anywya, keep writing.
