This is quite a powerful poem. It brings back memories of that day. I live in NY, but not NYC. I know some people that lost people. The bit about the war really brings the piece into focus, it gives it a message. I'm glad you wrote this.

Very effective writing. I remember that day all too well - watching it live on the news, almost convinced it was some movie. That it wasn't real. How I wish it wasn't!
