abuseA concept of immense proportions. Spectacular and baffling in its innate wisdom. All gods exist, because they once existed to long-ago people. They exist in minds and in hearts and in beliefs. They exist because we created them. And you said as much in a poem that no other word can describe but breathtaking. Bravo.

Keep writing!

abuseYou are a fool, and your rants prove you to have betrayed your inner thoughts and true beliefs. I too believe that within each of us lies a true god, as you do. But unlike you, I do not betray my god with a veil of hate and blasfemy. You judge what has no right to be judged. You hide from your god! You've become the very definition of hypocresey. And for, that you've lost yourself in meaningless beiliefs and judgements. Your god within your self as been abandoned by you. You are non-believer of men.

abuseNietzche salutes you from beyond the grave. Or, rather, he would if he weren't just a loose assortment of dead cells.

At any rate, good stuff.

abuseL-U,

Thanks for reviewing my essay I was starting to think that nobody cared about who was actually a part of "Coalition of the Willing".

This was beautiful. And very true. We are our own gods, we make our own luck. Cthulu- "that you are your own God and must be respected as such"

If everyone lived by that principle, we would have a much safer world.

Its true that through history religion is used to explain things that we have no idea about, and they are always wrong. The lines about the world being flat were really good:

The horizon ends because the world is flat and the seas spill into outer space.

The orbiting bodies that we see do so spinning upon grass and crystal.

Following laws we can never hope to comprehend.

But all these facts are iron solid.

Faith supports them all.

--

And now because it is against "God's will" we have people going against homosexuals. Does nobody remember some of the reasons for ?- "We are God's chosen and they are our slaves" was the general gist of it in some quaters. Gods are used to bring the individual above the crowd, make them feel like they are the only people who know anything, that they belong to some kind of special club. How can you differ in between one God and the other? How can you say yours is real and all others are not?

And I got all that from these lines: All Gods as same. / Faith supports them all.

This poem really makes ya think.

My favourite lines?

So all praise mighty Self.

As we rise. Logic spears the unicorn and elf

And all praise man.

As we stride forwards, before science the nonsense gods have ran.

Amazing. See ya round.

*Salutes*

OM

PS

E.A Tetje-

If we are our own gods then why do we die? Why do things happen that we have no control over? Where did the earth we stand on come from? From where does the air we breath come appear? How do you explain miraculous recoveries from other wise diseases? WHat of those who have actually died and been raised to life again? When we die what happens to us?

--

If we are our own gods, then we make our own luck, as I have already said. There is no Eternal Father to save us. We are victims of evolution. Why do strange things happen? They are merely strange to us. Mainly because we have no control over them. Where did the Earth come from? That's the only thing about the universe I find truely strange: that everything came out of nothing. From where does the air we breath come appear? Did you GO to Science lessons? How do you explain miraculous recoveries from other wise diseases? We make our own luck. What of those who have actually died and been raised to life again? Since when did that happen? When we die what happens to us? We go back to the Earth. Where else?

Do not pray for me or logical-unreason, or any other non-Christian. You're wasting your time.

abuse"all praise the mighty Self"

Gotta love it. It makes me sad, it really does, to see such narrow minded fools running around saything that they have the Truth. That they worship the right god. When confronted with this, i ask "which god? Adoni? Vishnu? Jehovah? Yahweh? Shiva?"

Im glad i FINALLY found someone who seems to have the same mindset as me.

Indeed, all praise the mighty Self. Thats the only God we can really trust nowadays...the one in our hearts.

abuseGood poem.I'm not going to argue with you because I'm Christian.A concept of Christianity that I agree with is that I don't tell anyone about themself if I,myself,am not perfect.Since I can not be perfect, then I can't argue with you.Plus,I'm fourteen so no wasting my time with older, more educated persons. So when I say it's good,I mean it's well-written.

abuseI would review back on your other story, but seeing as you're too sensitive to bother with anonymous names...

"Your review actually validates my piece 100 %"

What, you were looking for attention and I gave it to you? Please, tell me how I validated your "essay".

abuseWhat's with the form, why choose to write it in this manner? It draws attention away from the argument and weakens it as a whole. You make a number of really good point but you don't but you fail to be as all encompassing as you would wish. Just because old gods didn't acctually exist doesn't necessarily prove that new Gods don't. Your zues argument fails to hold water because you have taken the name zues, applied it to the being God and then asked a Christian why they don't believe in it. They do, the name of the God is mere cymantics, whether it is call God, Ra, or anything else. And what about the master programer idea, that God set "existence" into action but then stop interacting with it. It's not that I don't agree with you (I'm a complete atheist) but you don't say much beyond "God doesn't exist do there".

abuseI just adore your work! This is so very well written and very Elliot. Again what you write is so true. I cannot stand these fools that put their faith in god and try to convert everybody to their twisted beliefs. The only people that actually believe in god are uneducated, cowards, fools or a combination of those. I love how you dislike religion and write so well about it. Keep writing :D

abuseFunny how I have spent so much time fighting God and his army, and funnier how much time I've spent reminescing about the greater gods of old, as if they in their time were any better than the tyrant of today.

Is this, perhaps, your first or only rhyming peice? I like it, but not that much really. Not as much as the mind of nihilism or chopped logic. Still it has dusted off some of my favorite old trains of thought and given me somewhere to wander for today. I thank you.

If you have any intent of reviewing me, please wait a few days until my new poem is out. It is eerie that I chose such a similar topic, but I swear it was not copied from or inspired by any of your works. The title will be "You are God".
