That second chapter was so emotional and sad! I don't think I like her new family already...but am I just sensing her distust or is there forshadowing here? Anyway, please write a third chapter soon!

This was a really wonderful story! I love how you discribe Chinese culture so fully and truthfully. It reminds me of "The Joy-Luck Club," the way the story runs and how everything is written. ^_^ I felt so bad for that girl, and how she lost her sister and everything. I like the description of the river as a dragon. Great job and keep on writing!

oh, very prettily done--you said in your profile that you like the 'joy luck club'...this reminds me a little of that, stylistically. given the title/introductory note, i can guess where this is going...will be waiting for more.
