I like this because of it's title mostly. The "promise" that is just so abused. I love how you can personify it into the enemy. How it shatters pieces, how it can crack hearts, yeah, sad but tone is reality!

I think you had this on your Xanga once, I recognize the "shattered glass and blood" line. I like this one just as much as your other poems, though not quite as much as "The Raven."
