D Anyway, I always review the first chapter seperately because, well the first chapter is the most important to the reader. It's what decides if they're going to enjoy the reading, plow on despite how dry it sounded, or toss it aside in disgust. Your first chapter, however, is very good. You've set up the major catalyst for anything that's going to happen in future chapters: the move. You've introduced us to the character's somewhat sarcastic but still nice personality. Even if she is in a bad mood at the moment. You've got a very nice style and you manage to give us insight into Tess's mind even in third person. Really great job so far and I can't wait to see when the rock star comes in. M |
