I really like the last two lines of the second stanza, they are so true. I also like the italicizing of love. It works really nicely.

Very nice piece. You've found a cool idea that is written about from time-to-time; although, I disagree with your sentiments. I find the universal truths of religion to reflect, more often, the darkest and most hopeless conditions of humanity as opposed to hope and "peace on earth". Frankly, with the exception of Confusian ideology, the religious leaders of the various movements you've mentioned are cloaked in blood, spilled in the pursuit of power. I find no God in religion.

Anyways, my personal opinion doesn't take away from the effectiveness of your work. If your goal was to provoke thought and reflection than, with me anyway, you've done a wonderful job. Write on!

I find this what somehow abstract or even surreal in its imagery. I like the rhyming on the second part, very effective. Great job...
