| Safira 2006-07-25 ch 1, | abuseThe poetry in this piece is very entertaining and the prose powerful. It relates a world of truth with references to aging, comfort foods, self-consciousness, courage and the strength one is capable of. I especially love the line, “As though you can take every other huge thing that spins your world in orbit and swallow them down,” and the overwhelming sense of shock this entire poem radiates. Autumn. |
| acrobia 2005-08-03 ch 1, | abuseAmaizing piece, and one I think many can relate to, especially the way many people freak out about age rather than other bigger problems. I love the lines "Twenty-two year old/Gray" they are stunning. Keep up the good work!xo - Acrobia |
| The Proxy Ninja 2005-08-02 ch 1, | abusePluck out that demon, Brighteyes! I loved the unconventional format. [I took the abuse and shattered it. I buried the hatchet. I took in their world and dealt with the demons. I bear what is needed with dignity. I overcame what blocked my view of the rainbow. Now you, gray hair, are intruding. Deeper.] This was powerful. |
| somerandomdude 2005-05-30 ch 1, | abuseEh? Poetry suddenly turned into prose? oO That baffled me a bit. Other than that I had had grey hairs since little lol, some genetic inheritance. People often notice that =/ |
| Arcane Hero 2005-04-22 ch 1, | abuse*sigh* If only I knew the pain you felt. I got my first grey hair at the age of 9. I thought it was awsome. Whats even more awsome is that I dyed my hair black a few months ago and I have like 50 white hairs. It looks so awsome. Oh and poor you...Get some dye. |
| Aneesa 2005-03-26 ch 1, | abuseLOL I liked. Had my first gray at 15! THE HORROR OF IT ALL. Nicely written:D |
| M.P. Solo 2005-03-22 ch 1, | abuseGray hair doesn't bother me (I'm more worried about going bald), but I understand how people feel that do get them, and what it means to have them at such a young age...it's not good at all. Very well written, and the mild humor helps the tone. I don't know if I could take someone flipping out over a gray hair seriously, no matter how significant going gray is... |
| Arkash 2005-03-20 ch 1, | abuseVery interesting. I've had those moments too, so I know how it feels.In a short story/poem, you've packed so much meaning.Great job! |
| A A Another Dumb Gwailo 2005-03-11 ch 1, | abuseHaha, gray (grey? gray?) hairs...I haven't gotten any yet, (YAY!) That was great, and I enjoyed it even though I almost NEVER read/write poetry, (those failed haikus were tests...) I'm more into hillarious fiction, hehehe. Anyone here who likes hillarious fiction read my stories Imbecilic White Men and Of Idiots and Coffins!! Please!! Yeah...and thanks for reviewing!! |
| ThreePac 2005-02-25 ch 1, | abusei like the personification u used for the gray, almost like it was the devil or the demon that came into ur world to ruin it. i also like how u dramatized the whole thing because it was so true. what i mean is when we do get a gray hair we feel like its the end of the world and u showed that very well. |
| zeusfluff 2005-01-06 ch 1, | abuseI love you're poems! ~Melissa~ ~La Señorita Maria~ |
| Rosie Cotton of the Shire 2005-01-04 ch 1, | abuseVery nice. I really liked it, which is astonishing because I don't like poetry. Usually, I'll only read Tennyson, Shakespeare and the like down the poetry alley. But you really caught it, and made this poetry like-able. By the way, thank-you for reviewing my essay on Celtic and English languages. |
| ByFireAndMoonlight 2004-12-31 ch 1, | abuseheh, this is, entertaining. How one gray hair can shake a persons center. Funnier yet, is knowing just how realistic this is. |
| StarSword17 2004-12-21 ch 1, | abuseSadly I can relate to this too. I'm 18, but I have to confess, I have plucked a couple of gray hairs myself. Still you are right, they are warnings to us to slow down. Still, nice short bio. That was a unique take on something that is usually as much fun as watching paint dry on a wall. Nice job. |
| Forsaken Writer 2004-12-18 ch 1, | abuseYicky grey hairs. Hmm, come to think of it, I got a grey once or twice when I was ten. Haven't had one since though. Any way good story/poem, keep up the good work. -Forsaken |
