I had to read this thrice to review, so I think the main point of your poem has been achieved: you made us think!! It's very soft and graceful, and still kinda sad. All in all, it's really very beautiful.

This is an interesting poem! I like the variety of images; you could create a collage from the pictures it conjures in the mind. My favorite parts are "Upon my gazing smile/And the death begins" and "We take our place/And breathe so softly." These stuck with me, even after I reread the poem. Excellent work (as always)!
