I haven't read this story in a while, though it seems I've missed a chapter. It seems you've explained the Etherians a bit more, and how they've adapted to human form. It seems, though, our protagonist is down and out.

I like this, alot! a few commas to add, for instance,"standing upon the zenith of the world I watched the rising of the red sun" should be "standing upon the zenith of the world, I watched the rising of the red sun." Other than that, very good! Keep writing!

Interesting chapter and fight scene. For some reason, this chapter reminded me of the Fading Suns roleplaying setting. I am interested in your world. What are the Etherians and what brought about the current social order? I'll read and find out.

An interesting set up to this story. It reminds me very much of Gene Wolfe's "Book of the New Sun" and a bit of Steve King's "Dark Tower" saga. I'll have to get back to this story.
