I don't think your story is horrible at all! In fact, I really really like it - I read the entire thing up to this point in one sitting. I think your writing has gotten better and better as the story has gone on. I'm with the multitude that adores Damien and wants Casey to finally give in and realize what she feels. I hope the hiatus for this story doesn't last long :)
