nice, succinct guide! I like the organization, and the bolding helps, almost like bullet points. well done.

also, the site takes out any website url from documents posted.

Yes, thanks for the information. I will keep this in mind when I am writing on fanfiction.net, and when I finally come over to fictionpress.com to write. Thank you for enlightening those who couldn't understand otherwise.~Vortus Mordekai

Finally, someone put into words my thoughts. Amen. I would, however, like to point out, along with 'censorship' reviews which should not be given, in MY opinion (that is, not factually), flames jumping on subject matter should not be tolerated either. I see something like that as simply childish and unnecessary. I am pleased to see that you welcome flames. My respect for an author increases a bit when I see that. Pathetically attempting to 'forbid' flames in summaries/bios is simply doing the equivalent of begging for a flame, don't you think? Something else that does irritate me is when a reviewer asks the author to review her or him. So, in conclusion of what is shaping up to be one of the longer reviews I've written, I would like to say nice job at pretty much hitting the nail on the head.

Why can't you use the site name? *shrugs* ..Oh well. Screwy system.

Thanks for the pointers. I'm always looking for things to better about my own writing, and this will help. As a writer of stories and poems, I love to take the Pay It Forward method, and give comments to random people if I receive comments from random people. That way, hopefully the cycle will keep going.

This also covered all the bases as well. As a writer, if a reviewer followed all of these guidelines, I'd be very happy, and appreciate their input. After all, a reader is what a writer writes for.

What you described as your ideal flame is not, in fact, a flame. It may be that you just wrote the biggest pile of steaming manure ever to grace a page (or, in this site's case, a computer screen), and if the reviewer is able to tell you that with civility and clear-cut reasoning and examples, then you can hardly call that a flame. That fits under constructive criticism.

It's beautiful that somebody actually bothered to write something like this. I'm going to add it to my profile. Hopefully, the number of quality reviews will increase at least somewhat from this.

Yay! Another soul with common sense has shown themself. Your sentiments echo my own. Thanks for posting something like this...I hope everyone reads it. I will, if you don't mind, be sending this to friends and others I know who sometimes look over my work.
