I'm sorry. We just experienced a death recently. A stabbing to be exact. I didn't know him THAT well, but I did know him. He used to come to my house. Now, it's like I will see him today, sitting on the front porch, hanging out with my brothers.Nice poem.

awesome poem. oh man i know how it feels to lose someone you know. even if the person wasn't so close to you, it hits hard to realize they're gone, especially since one moment, they're there, and the next, you never have the chance to even talk to them again. :/ anyway, this is well written. wonderfully expressed, sad and poignant. good job.

This is really good. I know what it means to lose someone, it's never easy. You expressed yourself well.

For the past few days at night, I've been seeing his face. I'm serious. I can see his face so clearly, which is strange since I've never even noticed him that much before. The only reason I know him is because we went to the same elementary school. I still can't accept it. I doesn't seem real at all, but I guess the truth will hit once we go back to school. I keep thinking that something big is going to happen, that something big HAS to happen. I know his death itself is "something big" but I keep thinking something has to happen to announce to the world that he's gone. Hell, I barely even knew the guy and here I am stressing over him while I'm talking to you on my cell about Kaiti Yotsu (did I spell that right?). I know I sound stupid, but that's how I feel. Your poem captured a feeling of reluctance and acceptance and sadness.Yoo-jin

I'm sorry, I can't really review the poem because I'm still bewildered by all this--so I suppose it does describe the feeling. I just can't accept the idea that he's gone, you know? It was running through my mind all day yesterday and this morning that was the first thing in my head but I don't think I'll really get it until we get back to school. You probably knew him better than I did, but I still can't get it through my head that he's gone.
