Fanciful and unrealistic. The French would probably massacre any Indian Naval Force. Their sailors and pilots are as professional as those found in the US and other allied nations navies.

It wouldn't be a victory without losses, but frankly, India wouldn't stand a chance. Nor would it come to a naval battle. Installing or changing the regime in Pakistan would really be the excuse India needed to invade.
