Hmm...this reminds me of something. A story I read once...can't remember what, though. Argh.

Good poem. It's sad, at least in my way of thinking, but then, my outlook on life is eternally hopeful and happy, and, well, this poem is not so much.

Plus poems and stories about just accepting the cards life deals tend to depress me. Don't ask why. Maybe I'm to persistant.

But don't let the fact that I think it is depressing make you think that I think it is a bad poem! (I used think too much in that sentence >.

really sweet poem! It sounds like someone who has helped you all along in life has to leave you, knowing ur time will come to grow up, but its like they dont want too. U know wut u have to do and it shows strength within the main character. I really like that part about it. Alot of good depth in this poem as well. keep it up! great job!
