Reviews For: College Anxiety
Diana Shore 2006-02-27 . chapter 1
You got a grin out of me on the ending, even though Emily was completely annoying throughout this little 'skit'.

Your summary caught me eye because, even at my "ripe old age" of 35, I'll be starting college again this year to get my Bachelor's degree. Researching the colleges, filling out the applications (not to mention paying the application fees), filling out the FAFSA and ensuring the SAR is sent to all the colleges you're intested in is very taxing. But the most stressful, by far, is the waiting to see if you are accepted.

Next in line on the stess-o-meter is wondering how the hell you're going to pay for it all, if you are not fortunate enough to have Mom or Dad, or both, pay for your education.

Take care, D.

Nice idea, but this doesn't really go anywhere. I thought it was annoying how she kept on talking about dentistry as an undesirable profession. There are people at my university who would kill to go to dentistry school. But then I was relieved when the narrator recognized that it's a hard field. Also, it'd be near impossible to get any sort of dentistry degree at a community college.

Tehehehe! That is a horribly true story. I hate college searches! GA! Funny ending :)
Krys 2005-01-04 . chapter 1
I don't know if it was intentional (if it wasn't, it's good anyway), but the parallels between what the narrator is doing to help Emily out and psychiatry, coupled with Emily's grin, make for a very humorous and enjoyable ending. For sixteen, you are a very talented writer. Better than myself, and I have a few years on you (a few being literally three, I’m not ancient or anything). Impeccable grammar and spelling as far as I could see. Great dialogue. It was very fresh, quick, and witty. I had a smile on my face the whole time I was reading this. Very amusing.

Keep up this kind of writing. And keep doing it for yourself. Waiting around for reviews can lead to depression. Again, awesome job!

Being a dentist is the easiest job in the world. Just go into the office 3 days of the week, poke around in people's mouths, maybe a little teeth pulling but nothing you can't handle. Pay's great, and it's not really work at all.
