Reviews For: A Soul Deprived

This is a lot like Langston Hughes- he wrote a poem called What Happens To A Dream Deprived. But you made it original and put your touch on it- I like this.

This looks familiar...oh, yes, I remember now:What Happens to a Dream Deferred? Was this a school project? Anyways, it's pretty good, it has some really great images. Keep up the great work.

Beautifully written, I love this one so much. It askes questions that most people ask at some point and gives some suggestions. I love the way that you approached this.

Keep it up.

A deprived soul; it's like denying a dying man his last peck of water or an asthmatic air. Funny I should mention this, but Mr. Hughes (disntinguished as he was and daringly independent for his time--he established his identity independant of both color and creed) reasoned that he subconciously wanted to write as a white writer. I believed this was one his punch-lines from an essay, 'we would or who would surrender racial pride in the name of a false integration'. Brilliantly formulated CC!
