Love River and Javier, too. Thanks for writing this! I had the best time reading it. It ended sweetly, but bittersweet because something in my gut area is craving more of them, so I'll just have to check and see if you did post any side-shots with them, yeah?

You picked the most awsome names for those two people! I think you just added to names onto my favorite list of names. I'm fond of unique names. River... you don't hear that often and Javiar... I'm pretty sure that it is a French name so that might be why. I thought this story had a great plot, great characters, and great writing! LOVE IT!
tsubaki-dono 2008-06-22 ch 20,	abuseThis was such fun to read; your characters had a good solidity to them, a way about them that is quite realistic and relatable. I don't like first person perspectives but I suppose this was fine; it would be great to see something from you which is not in first person (but I haven't checked out your other fictions yet, so I would know if you already do). The plot was believeable and I quite liked how you kept your character count to a bare minimum; although Adam stood out to me --you wrote of him but not him per se. He wasn't a character you seemed to have the chance to flesh out (not that you needed to, it didn't seem the story needed you to anyway). The way you tackled River finding himself was quite point blank; he behaved the way a teenager would in my opinion. Liz made a loveable character as well, and Javier (I wondered forever if that was a french name, I still don't think it is) made a wonderfully amusing and laughably lovable flaming gay but poignantly insecure counterpoint to River's quiet shyness sharply contrasting inner-strong character. All in all, it was a good read and I'm glad I found this story. Best of luck in all your writing!
