Luneko 2005-02-16 . chapter 1This is such a pretty, sad poem. I really like it. One suggestion. You might want to proof-read it again - I noticed a few small mistakes. Other than that, excellent job.I've never even heard a whippoorwill (we have mostly mourning doves, mockingbirds, and flocks of escaped cockatiels and parrots here), so I don't know how it would sound, but your poem makes it sound soft and wistful. |
keep.breathing 2005-01-11 . chapter 1Whippoorwills are my favorite birds. They are kind of special to me because I was hearing one during my first kiss on the backporch. And when I was a kid, I would go outside just to listen for them. Even now, when I hear them I feel happy and lonely and far away at the same time. Very beautiful poem. I have never seen one on here about a whippoorwill. Where do you live? They are very common where I am. :) Hope to see more from you soon! ~Abigail |
