Beautiful. I like the subdued tone overall. Even without the Author's Note, I doubt this story would sound pompous or condescendingly religious - it's actually very sweet ^_^ Gabriel comes off as being gentle, and his conversations with the "Caller" are interesting.

I shall review more - rest assured - in return for your generous review of my story! (Thanks for your advice - I'm currently spellchecking everything, although I can't do anything about the tenses...the shift is intentional, but I'm afraid it didn't work out the way I planned ^_^; )

Aw...such a sweet story. You really know how to make the reader feel the emotions of the story.

Ça tranche vraiment d'avec ton style habituel... ce qui n'est pas négatif, loin de là. je dirais que c'est simplement étonnant. Ce n'était pas une tangente facile à prédire chez toi mais j'aime bien. Je peux me tromper--d'ailleurs tu as mentionné d'où tu avais pris ton inspiration--mais Gabriel me fait un peu penser à Memnoch. Bon, c'est sûre que ce n'est pas La petite fille aux allumettes :-) mais ça tient très bien la route. J'aime bien la manière dont tu nous entraîne dans les pensées de ton protagoniste. c'est vraiment une de tes forces, tes personnages sont toujours intéressants, bien construits et surtout attachants. en gros, j'aime ça et je trouve que ce style te va bien, espèce de petite polyvalente! :-)
