the last line really pulls the poem together. it goes from different colors to this one great portrayal of the soul. a great metaphor. what i really like about this poem is that it can be applied at any different time in your life- taking the theme of colors. different colors mean different things and are associated with diff. things (for example, green is rebirth) and so there's also the hopeful (as well as not-so-hopeful) message in the poem that we paint our own canvas...anyways... that's my little rant for the day. great poem :)~Anesta
