reminds me of all those times out in the winter... *shivers** the snow is almost upon us again...

This has a very nice flow, not forced but just rythmic and the words you used were precise and perfect, I thought, for the images you created. It really makes me want to curl up by a fire with hot chocolate and stare out at the night and snow...and I don't like winter! :)

Oh, I love this...I love the atmosphere you've created! Though, I have one tiny tiny little criticism: the snow doesn't "lay" on the stubbled corn (love that adjective...), it "lies" on it. But that's really all, and it's not very much...and a common mistake too, so it's not so noticeable.

But other than that, well done!

This had such a nice feel to it... the voice was not unlike that of poetry you find in dusty English textbooks. My favorite lines were definitely "And sink up to my knee in splintered stars / And see my shadow racing at my side." That is beautiful imagery.

And also, a much belated thanks for all of the reviews. Just wanted to let you know that you really brought a smile to my face. :)

Well, I don't have as much to say about poetry (which this kind of is) as I do about stories, but wow. The imagery in this is really vivid. The analogies are brilliant. This is really good. Are you planning on making a story out of it, or is it just intended to capture a feeling?
