Im not flaming, just a little smokey. I don't care about glistening chairs, or whatever. I LOVE GOD. I am a Christian, and I find it insulting that you want to get mad at us for trying to spread the gospel. I know truth, I know lies. I am not going to explain to you how blind you are, but I will say this. Im sorry. Im sorry you find us so unbearable. I will pray, and you will laugh, and mock, and I will continue to pray. Because God loves you. Sorry.

It's so sad that some people are like this. My friend and I are Christians, but feel for all of the Pagans/Wiccans/Witches/or whatever you enjoy being called...

If we could, we would turn back time, stop all of the Inquisitions, etc...

hear, hear! I so agree with this poem. I haven't reall had to deal much with this kind of thing, mostly cause I'm still in the broom closet, but I can totally empathize. Great expression! ~greenie

Ok, as pathetic as it is to submit a review to my own poem, let's get something straight...

First of all, the summary states that this is toward several people at school. I have many Christians, Catholics, Baptists, and Atheists as friends.

Also, review your history, or need I point out the Salem Witch trials, the Dark Ages in Europe where thousands of women and children were killed and so on because of the fear of Witchcraft?

And furthurmore, on a more serious scale, Witches never have, are not now, nor ever will be followers, or even BELIEVERS, of Satan. That was a lie of mideval Christian priests to turn the local populace against the old religion. If you don't mind, keep your demons out of my religion.

Also, thank you if you were somewhat offended by the poem, but still had a nice comment to put in, or all of you offended, but chose to simply not comment. You are obviously more tolerant than others.

well then, I've one thing to say, I am proud of my Faith in Christ, I boast of what He did for me, not of what was ever done for Him, or of earthly things such as polished pews or large churches, so you want Christians to tolerate you at least and to not hurt your feelings, but what happens when we leave you alone and God questions us saying, why did you not try to save her/him? Why did you not share My truth with her/him? If you are not a child of God, you are a child of Satan, why does that offend you?

Okay, first off, I'm Christian. So feel free to ignore my opinion if you want.

I'd like to start by saying that maybe you guys could be a bit less critical to Christianity? You always claim we're oppressing you, but you should be tarred with the same brush for your insults, accusations of Neanderthalism, etc.

It's actually rather good poetry, I must say. However, the last five lines, as well as the twelfth (sp?) have kind of a negative connotation.The warlike, aggressive imagery here may have the opposite effect than that you're hoping for. You seem to imply some religious civil war is about to break out in America between the conservatives and liberals, which is probably not the case.

nice! really well written, and i love the theme of this, i personally am of no fixed religon, and am closest to budhism or wicanism if i had to chose a path, i really like what you did hear, it reminds me of christian that once fought my friend and i (he is a witch) for a long while saying that we believe in his God because his God created the world which is of course our goddess... so i totally understand what you're getting at, i hope other do too!!
