Very moving piece. I can relate to it, and I think it speaks a lot of truth. Your repetition makes it more appealing, and the imagery of sitting alone in darkness is very evident. Here's my favorite line: "So here you sit pretending to be braveWhile you fall apart inside"However, I really liked the opening two lines as well. Marvelous job! It's great that you can put so much expression into your work.
