wow. This story is amazing. Even though it is only the first chapter, you have already devolped Katie into a charactor, like someone a person could relate to and like, without giving away the air of mystery. Can't wait for the next chapter! I wish you luck! (heh, the little thing with the paper reminds me of myself and my friend. She said almost the same thing to me. (But, I didn't get athletic on my paper... ^^;)
