Reviews For: The Beth Anneid
Vicki 2005-02-02 . chapter 1
WOW! It must have taken you forever to write this! It's pretty amazing...you're going to do 25 more "books" likes this? I feel like I'm reading Homer or the Aeneid or something...well, sort of, lol. You've got the language, grammar, poetic style, it's hard to read through but still good etc - dead on. The hero though? Well, let's say she's no Aeneid, hehe...don't worry, that's a FANTASTIC thing! Beth Ann is a very interesting, unique character for an epic - she's rather eccentric and a tad obsessive, isn't she, lol? I love how the elegant, epic poem style makes her sound pseudo intellegent and heroic and all. Your humor/parody/satire is subtle, which is refreshing, as well as some humorous play on words ("Idiopia" for instance). The other characters seem to be nicely done as well (poor William McKay). I'd loved to see where this is going and what the Queen is like. Very original (is that possible for a parody?)! Keep this going!

(Sorry - long review I know. I just really got a kick out of it; I laughed out loud several times. I also couldn't resist reading it out loud - can't wait for the next book/chapter!)
