As a reply for your comment to mine, maybe there was a misunderstanding. I believe I said that there are the few citizens that fit the stereotype, and most of them are good people. Okay, maybe not those exact words but whatever.

I was talking about them, and I also think I mentioned that most people are really, fine citizens and people in general. There's the few again that take the pride thing too far, yet again the ones who are much too proud of being Republican. Maybe you misunderstood, but I wasn't classifying Amerians in general as ungrateful, cocky jerks or anything.

Just expressing my dislike to some, and like I said, there are Canadians I could live not knowing. And the whole Bush thing, yet again, just saying on the people who did vote for Bush, because after all, he did win did he not?

I adore the ending- the last line in particular. We often think of letting go as being a passive thing, a kind of relaxing that lets us release whatever we have been holding onto- but it takes so much effort, its far from passive. Well stated, and a lovely poem all in all.
