Echoes tend to get on my nerves too... ;)

Very powerful! I think I've said this to someone before (doesn't mean I don't mean it with this as well), I normally don't go for rhymed poetry, but this was so fantastically done. The emotion is something tangible, something that the reader can genuinely feel and the rhyme just makes it all the more deep. Well written.

Whoa... I could almost hear a deep drumbeat as I was reading this. Great rhythm, good word choice. "hover at the brink of life"... wow!

I used to be able to right poetry like that. Now all of my poems are dreadful.
