I have to say, I really liked this chapter... it was descriptive without being overly descriptive! Yay :)

And when you write the action scenes...wow! O_O Definately very action packed so far, which makes me happy. Also, I liked the cliffy you left at the end of the chapter (way to keep 'em hanging *grins*)

All in all... it gets two thumbs up from me! See ya next chapter.

Ugh, the imagery. I thought the brothers fighting was kind of cute at the beginning of the chapter, but it got gross...and then even more disgusting. And what's up with their mom? Haha.

Kazumi has to live! Aw. That makes me sad that he punctured a lung. He's my favourite, maybe. Besides Tetral.

Creepy battle left for Hikari. Whichever one she's fighting...aah. He's like a shrew. That's not a good sign.

Oh my god. He ripped the bones out of his wings. That is some hardcore fighting right there. Seems like they're both pretty **. I'm surprised that Ryo-Ni isn't dead yet; then again, he's humongous and he has (had) wings. Ugh. What a great image of Batsunan grinding the bones into dust. Such imagery. Good job, but at the same time, gross. You've accomplished your intention for this chapter.

Nice save by Batsunan. That was an intense battle with Ryo-Ni.

I also thought Kasumi's insight, although he took it back later, was interesting. Everything had made Batsunan look back into the painful past. Hikari also seems to have toughened up a lot...when Kazumi backhanded her, I would have thought she'd been more than merely alarmed when she found it drew blood. She seems to take the insults and blows as they come, sort of like the Bride in Kill Bill, except that the Bride was a killing machine without remorse until the second movie...and Hikari has a conscience, but she seems to slowly be losing it. At least as far as killing goes, she is.

This chapter was...intense. It makes me really upset that Batsunan is so unsure of Hikari and her abilities. I'd understand he'd be mad, but if I was in Hikari's shoes, I'd probably cry from alarm at him yelling at me like that.

And was Ryo-ni going easy on her the first time? Or was it for real? Wow. Cliffhanger much?

I like how you refer to this mysterious girl's age as "fourteen summers" old, rather than years. It's cool.

Emerald green is still the best colour by far. I like your incorporation of it into this story so frequently. ALSO good choice of brown eyes; I have always thought of people with brown/blue eyes to be quite so very pure...I was envious. Green eyes are a little less so, or blue with green, but the least so are hazel. I have hazel eyes. Hah. I guess they fit on some people, as in they look great, but my ideals are weird.

Hah, the feminity that they'd been missing. Poor Hikari. So underappreciated.

Beranmee was a vegetarian?! Or an eco-friendly guy, I'd assume at least. Sweet.

Wow. This Kohaku chick, she's kind of creepy, but I'm drawn to her character somehow. She's sort of popped out of nowhere. I think it's cool that Batsunan can reminisce with her about a person they both knew differently.

The image of the branches wrapping themselves around Kazumi/Isamu/Hikari's waists is kind of video game-esque. Cool.

Best line of the chapter: 'The leafy vixen has seduced our comrade!' Hahaha.

I wonder how Hikari feels about the presence of another girl.

Wow. I think that I should go back and read some to catch up, seeing as I haven't reviewed since perhaps January? 'Cause Hikari's added speed confuzzled me a little bit. Gra, they can't die, though, and Batsunan's right. But what are they going to do to get out of this sticky, sticky situation? I guess I'm forced to read on.

And I can't believe good ole gramps died. I mean, I know he's a druid and therefore basically against Batsunan and Hikari and gang, but he didn't seem too horribly evil. He seemed kind of nice. I want to see what kind of revenge Nibori takes, though, now that he has to fulfill his grandfather's last wishes out of respect.

I cannot TELL you how many times I've started this chapter in study hall, and either got ADD or just didn't...finish it. It's definitely not that I'm losing interest, so don't worry. I can't believe my last review was in like November. That's just wrong.

Oh. After careful examination and lack of ADD, it now all makes sense--they're battling the snake because these people want it gone and they think Hikari and Batsunan can defeat it. Hmm. How could I have like skipped over that before? I've only read that paragraph like 10 times.

Haha. That's a cool touch--gramps over there can see with the trees' eyes. Sucks for Nibori though. I mean, trees are virtually everywhere, so gramps can probably always see what Nibori's doing...ouch...

Kohaku...Kohaku...AAH! KOHAKU! omfg that's a name from Spirited Away...which is only like the best movie EVER. This chapter is getting off to an awesome start. Of course, I'm sure you got the name Kohaku from Inuyasha since well duh there's a character named Kohaku and this story is roughly based on Inuyasha...*duh*...Just, that's the first thing that came to mind when I saw Kohaku. ...Yeah...
