I loved the last line... "I am still utterly blind," because for all our wonderings and ponderings, we just go in circles. I like the power and suggestion behind the "Maybe tonight." It could mean so many things... Wonderfully crafted. I have a tiny little critique, though... did you mean to repeat the "true" in the line "Though still no true true proof to the charge"?
