Lady E 2007-03-16 . chapter 1Depressing, just the reaction you must've wanted. Really very good one here. That poem took me aback. I knew you were good at this craft, but I hadn't expected talent like that! :P I know I sound like a Pompous **, and probably I'm sorry for it. But this one-shot was just beautiful and unexpected enough to catch me off-guard.
"And we’d play records over and over: The Smiths made our misery poetic and taught us about the decadent anguish of love; Joy Division made sense out of our confusion and we heard how it felt before suicide; Lou Reed brought us our own culture from America, and Bowie did the same in our own country and Iggy Pop let us be angry with a destruction in our own minds."
I don't listen to much music, regretfully, but I could practically taste your words in that paragraph. So beautiful and succinct, capturing a great deal of feeling and creating a palpable mood.
I admit I'm curious about the title.
