The gods in stories always anger me. This is a good story. So sad, though. It might have been better if it were a little longer, to better build the relationship between Daren and Elka, and to make Daren more important. I know it seems cruel to say this, but sad stories should make the reader cry, a lot. Yours could do that if you made the readers get closer to the characters.

Still, I would say this is a good story. Are you continuing it? Whether you do or not, it was fun to read, and I enjoyed it. I hope to see more work from you in the future.
