This is so beautiful, so tender and vulnerable, honest and authentic. I love it perhaps also because I can identify with the speaker, I always fear to lose people and especially that one friend that is as close and important to me as the person you address here. Your imagery is great, especially "the jagged edges of my heart tore my insides tender". This is going on my favourites list. ;-)
