Jesse the Storyteller 2008-04-19 . chapter 1Hmm, very interesting. I like all the food analogies. Didn't make me hungry, though, haha. I like the sudden turn, from "I could consume you heartily" to "If.."
"You refuse to serve your purpose" this line perplexes me... are you saying that this peron's purpose is to serve your wanting heart - it's a selfish frustration. I dunno. It leaves enough intrigue to make me think about it after I'm done reading it.
Is Aerod a food, though? Maybe we don't have it here.

Arutha 2005-05-17 . chapter 1Heh, sorry it took so long. I was actually going to read Viscious Circle, but I read the desc and it seemed so familiar that I checked the reviews and found out I hit that one like 9 months ago and it stuck with me this long ;P
This poem rocks, though I can't decide whether I should be hungry or horny, haha. The last line completely changes the feel of the entire piece, and I think it's, at the very least, admirable when a poet is capable of such emotional manipulation. I love how you refer to "strands of angel hair". Even though it doesn't quite seem to fit in with the food references, I believe there is angel hair pasta, is there not? Anyhow, awesome poem (2003, eh?), keep it up ;P |
