Great story! This is truly, genuinely amazing writing! I feel like I'm reading a published novel, hahaha, even watching a movie!

Please continue if you can! I know it's been a few years since you last wrote this, but it really is amazing and would be sad to just end the way it has right now. I almost want to write an ending to it myself, just to give it some closure!

i fricken love this story, its so sad to see it not being updated, cos its so bloody interesting and extremely well written. i hope one day in the not too distant future you will continue this, becuase it has real good potential.

This story just completely ** wowed me.

It seems to me (and quite obviously) this story is on permanent hiatus, considering the last update was in 2005. >_< Which is really disappointing! (I'm actually questioning whether or not you're still alive, considering your other stories last updates too... ;D) I'm sure you've heard that by other readers, but holy **, I'm sad. :( Not only are you an incredible writer, but Stockholm Syndrome!? That's so... unheard of! Especially for the online community of writers! I was at my library today to try and find any fictional books on Stockholm Syndrome (you're story provoked an interest in me), but I couldn't find any. It's such a thought-provoking, exciting subject matter.

Every time I've read a story posted online dealing with a subject as heavy as this one, it's poorly written, boring, and the plot is unorganized. But even though Macabre Pleasures has its really graphic points that are disturbing to read, even hard to read at times, it's so damn suspenseful I couldn't stop if somebody was pointing a gun to my head.

I couldn't finish this story in one night (which - yay - long chapters!!) and all day at school I've been waiting until I could get back home and finish what you had written. I tend to stay away from reading stories that haven't been updated in such a long time because I like closure :D but I'm glad I didn't pass yours up.

I have to say that Jeff's mental transformation is captured wonderfully. You're not so anxious to just get there and do it, which is why so many stories I've read on here suck. And especially after getting a taste of the aftermath in the first chapter - it gives me this pent-up feeling of wanting /so/ bad to find out what happened to Jeff, Austin, their families, and their captors, not to mention how both Jeff and Austin would recover and rebuild their relationships with their families (at least, in Jeff's case).

I think I just presented a pretty convincing argument, if you will, or rather a plea. >_O If ^that can't motivate you, I don't know what will. ;D If there is /any/ chance at all you'll consider another go at this story, let me know - I swear I'll be a faithful reviewer. And if not - would you mind sending me an e-mail and just letting me know what you planned on happening? I know you had a plan and it's killing me that I don't know it. XD

Whether you ever decide to start writing this again or not, I have to say I am truly impressed with what you do have here and I wish I ran into stories like this more often. And now I've been kept up late again, and I still have homework. :P

i think this is gonna be the last one i review. i'm not into historical stuff, barely passed history, and the others i haven't finished or read yet. now don't think i'm a freak, but after eldermoor, this ones my favorite.

i just wish you'd UPDATE it! ^_^ pretty please! i beg you!! not really, but i like this story and it's interesting, and not like any of your other stories. i like austin, he's a cool character. Jeff reminds me of one of my ex-boyfriends, lol. all smiles, popular and really cute. then you throw nigel and kenny into the mix and poor poor jeff.

God. this story is absolutely mind-blowingly amazing. its so well written and unlike other psuedo kidnap stories this one actually seems to understand the cruelty and rammifications... i dont think that sentence made any sense. but whatever. i love the story and really really hope you continue it- its so disturbingly gripping.

I'm sticking with you when it comes to this story. You have no idea how much I enjoy reading it. And, homigawd, I'm really glad you updated. Even half a chapter is fantastic. Anything is fantastic, in fact. I still think you're quite an excellent writer, always putting in a twist somewhere in the chapters.

All I have to say is... take your time. Though you have impatient readers(Like me. But I won't admit that. :DD), I'll still look foward for each chapter you write. I always check my email for author alerts and when I see your name, I'm like... MACABRE PLEASURES!?
