1941 2005-08-14 . chapter 1I found your poem to be intense and a little sad. Sad that you’re are giving up living life to the fullest because of something you want to so zealously cling to. Having great faith is an interesting thing, and if it brings you comfort at night then rock on, and all that. I just found it a little weird that your God sounds like a jealous boyfriend in your author’s note. That was a bit odd. The imagery in your poem is really good, and the agony you seemed to suffer was portrayed well. I also suffered great amusement at your pagan reference to the phoenix. |
rotted reverie 2005-02-24 . chapter 1Sad thing is most of those who are called christians do not realize that such repentance is necessary for redemption(all who willfully and habitually sin are not abiding in Christ, thus disqualified from the gift of eternal life). It was a hard thing for me to let go of sin entirely, but the Holy Spirit and God's discipline told my heart that it was necessary. I'm glad that He is doing the same thing for you and as long as you seek His face, I'm convinced your determination will be well worth it. |
