External influence also does not necessarily make us biased, it gives us insight into what is already in us. The musings in the text started with the assumption that the mind could exist as seperate from the universe, which might not be the case (I'm not talking about society here but the universe as a whole which humanity is only a small part of). The blind surgeon operates on himself through someone else's eyes. Someone else's eyes are then also his own. Well... starting on the review of this text, it has to be involving, it actually got me thinking.
