| ADSpencer 2008-07-29 ch 1, | I cracked up laughing at the little witches at first because they reminded me of my friend's childhood nightmare about a figure named Fuzzy Wuzzy. Anyhow, interesting story. I liked the journal-like format. The ending seemed rather abrupt, but it worked for me, all in all. I love how the character's gone to the nutty farm by the end and doesn't even bother to form sentences or capitalize. Nicely done! |
| Cardinal Chuck 2005-05-20 ch 1, | This was fun. Not that I'm one of those people who think death and mutilation is fun. I just liked the story. It was excellent. I like the format, very Dracula-ish. Which is good, because I love Dracula. I would point out stuff that could be improved, but I can't find anything. I really liked it. Really. I did. Seriously. |
| Arkash 2005-04-04 ch 1, | This is an excellent story, chilling to the bone. I liked the interaction of dreams and waking periods.Good job! |
| Master Chief 2005-03-10 ch 1, | eerie and creepy, yet somewhat comical. I'll be honest, the idea of two-foot tall witches made me laugh a bit. But as i read on, things just continued to escalate and got weirder and weirder... creepy how the witches ill will manifested itself from dream state to reality... grammatically, this is perfect. your use of vocabulary and excellent phrasing make this an enjoyable read even if the topic is more than unsettling... good to see you back to writing again. hopefully this is the first of many more... | Chagan 2005-03-08 ch 1, | The writing in this was good, as usual. Concept was pretty good too, and for the most part, you got the whole part about her going crazy and killing herself (I assume?) well, without actually having to show it- simply showing how it happened in her mind was a good way to do it.The one glaring problem, however, is that it's really hard to care at all, because we know absolutely nothing about the character. The story's almost *too* much to the point, in that you dive right into the concept without setting up Anna at all- by the end, I thought "Good concept", but there wasn't much a story built around it.Whatever was there was well written of course. Her thoughts are well conveyed (although, because it's written like they're journal entries, the very last "entry" felt out of place). Good stuff, and the last line was well worded/placed (you have a knack for that). |
