sad. did u hear about the girl who was tied to a chair and was locked in her bedroom since the day she was born until she was 12? She sat on a toilet and never learned how to speak and her parents would only slip food under the door. no one ever saw her or knew she existed until the mailman found out after 12 years!

wow, it must've been hell for that girl. i mean i've gone for a few days without eating but five years with next to nothing.

its a shame people do this to their children. why have children if you aren't going to love them? anyway, excellent poem! ^_^

very powerful poem. well written. the notes at the bottom did help explain it to us who didn't know the story. that's so sad. you captured the feelings.

That was wonderfully written. The images it brought to my mind were so real. I could almost feel the hunger the child experienced through your words. Wonderful.
