DementedOracle 3/14/05 . chapter 1
This poem makes me wonder (from an observer's perspective) how many more relationships would endure if both parties shed their airs from the start and were real with each other. Seems like once time tests relationships, and pretensions are finally stripped away, a couple understands better their feelings for each other. It's sad that a relationship should reach this stage where growth can truly begin, yet endure no longer.

John Wright 3/9/05 . chapter 1
Reminds me of an old girlfriend I had . . . from that experience, I can tell you that this piece hit home with me. I learned then that a dishonest relationship is no relationship, and this poem brings many memories of how she wanted to get another chance. I understood then that we just were not meant for each other, but she did not, it seemed.

I cannot tell whether the writer is identifying with the speaker or portraying the speaker negatively . . . for me, at least, it's negatively. Anyhoo, a nice poem.

Sad poem, it has a pleading tone to it.
