| leslienicolespeaks 2007-09-02 ch 1, | hey there! i'm not religious or anything, but i thought this short piece was very sweet and well-written. as the others have said, the fact that it was the mother who had a more imaginative mind was a special touch. keep writing, you have talent! |
| HeavensLoverBoy 2005-10-13 ch 1, | oh my word that was soo sweet! definately a worthy piece... |
| burnisbetter 2005-09-05 ch 1, | That was extremely well-written, and the descriptions were amazing. Good job, and keep up the good work! |
| TheUberManlyMan 2005-04-27 ch 1, | Simply marvelous. I adore the character of Mae. Especially this line: "He looked back down at Mae, who was smiling, her blue eyes shining and blonde curls bobbing as she bounced up and down on the balls of her feet." *sigh* And, odd as this may sound, I also really liked the character of the dad. You did a good job comparing the dad and Mae in the first part, and it really worked well showing the depressing time period as well as her unaffected innocence. I thought it was a nice touch that it was the mom who told Mae she was a princess. It's a lot more believable than if the dad had said it, since he pretty much represents the general populous at the time. His smile towards the end gives hope to the bleak situation. I really like your writing :D |
| Sorrowful Dreams 2005-04-03 ch 1, | this is a very touching story. I love it very much. Made my heart sink from the emotions of happiness. You write very lovely stories. |
| Whistling Gypsy Rover 2005-03-17 ch 1, | The story was well-written, but best of all it was extremely sweet. I had never considered the little princes and princesses in that context before, but I find the thought very appealing. It's interesting, the many different things we can be by just being followers. C.S. Lewis likened us to people in the midst of a war with our secret meetings every week; I believe it was St. Bernard or one of his family who called himself a highwayman on the King of King's Highway; and now I can be a princess too! Lovely story! |
| Sphynx 2005-03-14 ch 1, | Amazing story. Although it's short, it's really sweet too. I saw the title and automatically clicked because that's what my dad always called me. But that explination is so much better ^_^ And that's so true ^_^ Whoohoo for all the princesses in the world (If ya can't tell, I'm ever so slightly religious ~_^) Sphynx |
| Lost in the Funhouse 2005-03-13 ch 1, | This was so sweet and very good. From what I know about the Great Depression (which is little to nothing at all, mind), you were quite accurate. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I love it. |
| Wings As Eagles 2005-03-12 ch 1, | This is very very nice and touching! I love the explanation the mother gave her daughter at the end. And the verses too...what a great story! |
| TheLastKiss 2005-03-12 ch 1, | That was so sweet and so heart-felt. Even without researching anything it came together really nicely. And you could relate to it so easily because you realize that every little girl wanted to be a princess when they were younger and read all those amazing tales about princes, princesses, palaces and such. I know I did. Its just something nice to look back on. Best Wishes,Brittney |
