Reviews For: 500 word challenges
lindserly 2005-07-04 . chapter 1
I love the whole idea of this. The challenge for an author of writing a quality piece with 500 or less words. I think i remember doing something along these lines in early highschool/middle school.

but yeah it's amazing how much you can say in as little as 500 words, and where you can lead a story with a simple starter line.

so basically what i'm getting at here is I like this one. the depth of it is amazing and you did a good job at fitting one man's terror (can't think of a better word, you know what i mean) into a short piece.

Oh, I really like this one, very suspenseful and funny at times too-. 'there is no plan C'-haha. Great job

Wow, interesting. Not my favorite out of these so far, but interesting nonetheless, and again short but good plot line/story.

This is cool! I like the idea of using a promt and such, and you do it really well too. The first one was really good, but I sort of lost the plot in the second and third ones. Other than that it was well written, and that can be forgiven since you had a limited number of words.

This one is probably actually my least favorite of the 3 so far. There are too many characters for such a short piece. It feels overloaded, stuffed . . . too much story for 500 words. But as far as the actual writing goes, it's good, as always. You're a good writer.

This was alright, not as good as the first one, but still good nonetheless. Good job with the dialogue as always. The first one of these packed a lot of emotion into just a little piece . . . this one on the other hand is just a story with no real feeling. It is a bit humorous though . . . that'd be a very embarrasing situation.

Interesting little piece here. I enjoyed it. These are neat little excercises that you have going here, 50 word challenges, 500 word challenges. This is good considering what it is. You pack a lot into just 500 words. Good job.

Interesting. A little unclear, but good nonetheless. After reading this, I'm inspired to do something similar with my own writing...

Anyways, very good as usual, keep writing.

Ohh man, poor guy! This was rather funny, I enjoyed it. Very good, keep writing.

Wow...this was pretty intense. Three miscarriages is probably extremely devastating; you did a very good job in communicating emotion in this piece. Great work, keep writing.

Hm, thought-provoking indeed. You have a unique and original style, my friend. I felt that the husband was kind of...I don't know, indifferent(?) to the whole situation with his wife. He didn't seem all that bothered by the last sentence of this piece. Nontheless, this expressed a unique snap shot of a possible realilty. Good work.

Happy writing!

this is clever! i think i like your 50 word challenges better though, because they have to say more in less words. this one is nice though.
