Aside from a few grammatical and spelling errors, the story flowed really nicely. It was very realistic, and you did a great job conveying the emotions that the soldier felt.

I especially like the fact that the hatred that fueled him to retaliate was then thrown back into his face at the end- oh, the irony of the "Hollywood" ending.
