I loved this, really well done. It flowed well, and the subject was interesting. I loved the second to last stanza, brilliant. Well done.

today is the catch of the day rotting from yesterday

if all the raindrops were lemon drops and gumdropsor if all the snowflakes were chocolate bars and milkshakes,

then america would die out first

I like this, a stream of conscience writing, flows down the page.

fantastic

you take normal happy things from daily life and make it morbid/artsy/new.

i don't know how to describe that.

the arts aren't so dead, just repetitive. i suppose you just don't like beatrice chia and her gang XD

Wow... what else is there to say? I love Alice in Wonderland, that bit gave it a nice touch! This poem. It's gorgeous. And amazingly creative! Yeah, unfortunately, the arts are dying out. Now it's all about MTV and hiphop. What is this world coming to? When I become a famous writer (hA!), I plan on publishing a book of poems, and try to get people back in the spirit of poetry! I think that's a good cause. We're raising a generation of kids who don't like to read (ack!), with more "fun" things to do, like sitting in sticky movie theatres and circling the mall for hours... not that I don't like doing those things sometimes, I would just rather be reading or writing. Okay, my turn to stop ranting. :P But great poem! Wow! again.
