abusegorgeous. the nature imagery is purely romantic. just as lovely as Keats or Shelley. nice semi-rhyme at the end, feels couplet-like and ends the piece with a great flow. second line is beautifully original. great work. you use this format fabulously.

abuseAbsolutely beautiful descriptions. I especially like the image of "honey-bitter thoughts", it might even be a word play/ an allusion to honeysuckle in the context of the summer landscape you depict?

abusenacreous moon hides,

all her passions in the sky,

patiently she bides,

for her lover who's quite sly,

smoothly she pulls tides,

knowing gravity will try,

pull together sides,

though at times they may be shy,

there's no deeper love to spy.

abuseM, this is quite sweet. Now I find myself wishing for summer & all its grace. I've never seen this style; choka, you say? It worked very well, eloquent words & charming ideas. Second stanza = favorite. No, nevermind, I love the whole thing. :)
